Oh hey...I have a livejournal. ^_^ Forgot about that...er...yeah. Um, well, I don't even remember where I stopped posting art, so I guess I'll just jump in with some of the stuff on my computer right now.

Naga yaoi is love. ^_^ These are Malus (blue) and Peior.
It would take forever for a page to load with all the pictures from Anime Mid-Atlantic since they have pretty big filesizes, so here's a link to the photobucket album.

Yes I'm in a lot of them...hehe. And once again, thank you to my awesome Sam, aka. Riku's packhorse, Caitlin.
Hehe...unless you consider AMV's art. ^_^ Here we go, my second AMV ever. This one is Riku/Sora and Axel/Roxas with tons of spoilers for both KH1 and KH2. And yes, the choice of song was meant to be at least a little humorous. I'm proud of the way it came out, considering I only have Windows Movie Maker.
Chapter 1 of "Twilight Thorn". Read the warnings at the beginning. ^_~

This fic is the sequel to Darkside in that it will be written in a similar style and share some elements of the first fic. This story follows Riku from the end of CoM through KH2, telling about what happens in between the times we see Riku in the game interacting with Sora.

This fic will have HUGE spoilers for KH2 and CoM. Please don't be upset if you haven't played the games and read something you didn't want to know.

Yaoi, some cursing, dark stuff going on. You are warned.

And a little side note, when I wrote the first fic I couldn't find the name of Riku's sword so I referred to it as the dragon blade, but in this fic I will call it the soul eater.

/People thinking to themselves./

--A secondary person in someone's head talking to them, like Ansem (Xehanort's heartless).--

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Riku was amazed at how at peace he felt here in this room of white. Despite the blinding glare of the floors and the walls and everything in the room, he felt comforted.

/Perhaps I really have been in the dark too long./

In front of where he sat was a cocoon with feathery petals curling around it. Inside he knew that Sora was sleeping, slowly regaining the memories he had abandoned to discover what lay at the end of Castle Oblivion.

/It happened again./

When he heard footsteps approaching, Riku straightened his shoulders and turned to see the King. He too looked exhausted. Castle Oblivion wasn't something that was easy to overcome.

"Riku? Are you okay? You haven't moved since we got here."

Ever since being trapped behind the door together, Riku had found solace in Mickey's company. They surely made an odd pair, the high voiced little mouse and the tall, dark keyblade master.

"Just letting it all sink in..."

He trailed off, once again looking at the enormous cocoon that held the one person he'd been searching for months. The person he'd loved, betrayed, and loved again all in such a short time. And now, he arrives just hours too late to see him again. Even if, as Namine had said, Sora wouldn't remember him, just seeing his best friend after all this time would have done wonders for him.

"We found him Riku. And now we know where he is. We can keep coming back to visit him until he wakes up."

Riku ran his hand through his hair, letting it get caught in the knots that had formed during his battle against Ansem. Though he knew that the man was still inside him somewhere. After everything that had happened, he had come to accept it.

As much as anyone accepts a being of pure evil residing in one's subconscious.

"I was so close, Mickey. The whole time we were just steps behind him. I just--I just wish I could have apologized to him again."

Mickey patted Riku on the shoulder, his oversized gloved hands making a soft thwumping sound against the other's shirt. He then sat himself down next to his comrade, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the white room. The girl herself was gone, following Diz to wherever it was the two were bound for. Though neither had confirmed it with the other, both keyblade masters felt it in their gut that the witch and the powerful man in red weren't far away.

"Namine told me a few things about the Organization before she left."

Riku sighed as he realized that their small repreive was over. They had found Sora and Donald and Goofy. They were safe now. But new enemies were causing trouble, and had to be stopped.

"They call themselves Organization XIII. Which means there are eight left out there somewhere. She said they are something called a Nobody, the shell of someone who was strong enough to maintain their personality after being turned into a heartless."

"So, what do we do? I don't even know where we are..."

Riku and the King both looked around the room, like it would somehow explain itself. With the illusion of Castle Oblivion gone, they had no clue what world they were in. Or if their gummi ship had ended up anywhere near them. The thought of being stranded on an alien planet hit the two and both sighed.

"Well, guess we better find out where we are first, huh?"

The ability to instantly perk up despite the situation had always been something that Riku could admire. Sora had it. Shadow and King Mickey too. Feeling like he was somehow blaspheming the boy in the cocoon, Riku tried to not think about Shadow and instead picked his head up and walked out of the room. Mickey was close behind him, ready for anything.

Everything shifted abruptly around them from a sterile white to a dark metallic corridor with pipes crisscrossing in tracks on the ceiling. As they passed it Mickey pointed out the computer terminal that Diz and Namine has been busy with before they left. Sora's vitals were being recorded on the screen, and Riku's eyes lingered on the outline of the keyblade master, hoping he was doing the right thing by leaving him in the care of two strangers.

Despite the broken furniture and the dust that was gathered in the corners, Riku found himself enjoying the scenery. This crusty old mansion was still somehow comforting. The building had survived being gutted and invaded by the Organization, but still held itself up. He glanced over and smirked at the fact that Mickey seemed to be gazing in awe around at the paintings and sculptures of the old mansion as well.

"Hm. This doesn't look good..." Mickey said as they left the mansion and saw the sunset streaked sky above, and a dark forest at the end of the yard.

"I don't know, seems like a nice enough place to me."

The mouse just shook his head, causing the zippers on his outfit to clink together.

"I can't remember how we got here. Namine used her powers to create an illusion, and brought us here. I have no idea where the gummi ship is. If its even on this world."

Despite how much he enjoyed the scenery here, the thought of being trapped anywhere made Riku's stomach clench up. Too many memories of living on an island, being smothered.

/Maybe that's why I couldn't give up the darkness. Too much freedom./

They walked in silence through the shadowy forest and into the sparsely populated town square. There were bright lights advertising shops, and a small tram ferrying people across the town. Riku wondered if this city had any connection to Traverse Town.

/Maybe they had the same guy designing them./

"Riku. I think maybe we should keep ourselves hidden. It wouldn't be good to draw too much attention to ourselves."

They saw an entrance to a system of tunnels that ran under the length of the cities and pried open the gate, sneaking in. It wasn't hard, considering the fact that there didn't seem to be too many people in this town anyway. As they stood by one of the posters that held a map of the underground tunnels, Mickey suggested they head for the train system. Riku just quirked an eyebrow at the small king.

"Just trust me on this one. There are more ways to travel between worlds than gummi ships and portals."

"Well I figured. But a train? Are you sure?"

Mickey just smiled and shrugged.

"Not really. I'm just going on a hunch." And with that he continued up on the tunnels, heading for the train station.

/I guess hope springs eternal./

"I could just use some darkness, transport us to a world we know has connections and ships."

There was no answer from the tunnel ahead so Riku just let the subject drop. Mickey was a lot more sensitive about him using any dark powers. He may seem kind and optomistic, but Riku got the feeling that it took a lot to gain the king's trust.

When they exited the tunnel back into the open air Riku expected to be able to see stars overhead. But it was the same yellowy orange sky. As if the sun was still setting.

"How long does it take the sun to go down here?"

Mickey hadn't even been paying attention to the sky, instead heading straight for the train station. With a little huff at being ignored, Riku diligently followed. It was almost as if Mickey had forgotten him, completely focused on where he was going. Sure enough within the cool air conditioning of the building he found the mouse standing beside a set of tracks, looking expectantly down the tracks.

"I was right. This set of tracks leads to Yensid's tower. I'm sure of it. He can supply us with everything we need."

"Yensid?"

Riku found a bench that looked pretty comfortable and sprawled on it. Like the rest of this quiet town, the station was deserted except for an old janitor emptying out trash cans that seemed to be entirely filled with popsicle sticks. Of all things Riku suddenly felt a huge craving for a popsicle.

"Hey, Mickey! I'm gonna go grab some ice cream, you want one?"

The king just sighed and walked over, climbing onto the bench beside Riku.

"Sure. I'm not actually sure when the train might get here. It might be soon though, so hurry."

Not wanting to be stranded in this world any longer than he had to be, Riku jogged out of the station and headed into the town, quickly spotting a group of kids with blue popsicles.

He ran up to them, and the three turned to him and smiled. The girl stepped up to him and seemed to examine him very closely.

"I've never seen you in Twilight Town before, are you new?"

Riku just nodded and pointed to the popsicle in her hand.

"Sorry, I was just wondering where I could get an ice cream."

A boy with slicked back blond hair pointed down the pathway. He gave Riku instructions as to where the ice cream vendor usually parked his cart and with a quick thank you he took off down the alleyway. The ice cream seller was right where the boy had said he would be, and Riku used some of the munny he had stashed in his pockets to get two of the sea-salt ice cream popsicles. As he ran back up the pathway he waved at the group of kids lounging with their ice cream.

"Riku! The train is here!"

He sped up and nearly fell as he turned into the train station and ran up the stairs. Mickey was standing by the same set of tracks, but now an odd blue train with yellow stars dotted on it was sitting next to him. He motioned quickly to the train and hopped on. As Riku stepped through the doors they began to close and he had to squeeze his way inside.

"I hope this ice cream is worth it..." he said, handing Mickey's to him, then opened his own and took a tentative lick. It was salty and sweet, which he should have guessed by the name. But it was incredibly good.

/Guess that explains the popsicles in the trash can./

So engrossed by his ice cream, Riku hadn't even noticed where the train was carrying them to until he looked out the window and saw that they were traveling along tracks in the air, heading towards a single floating island in the distance with a tower perched on top.

"I prefer portals I think," he mumbled as he looked down into the emptiness beneath the train tracks.

"I hope Yensid is there. I think you'd like him."

Again feeling distinctly ignored Riku nodded, even though Mickey never turned to look at him. He was so excited to get to this Yensid's place that he was practically bouncing up and down in his seat. Feeling tired just watching him, Riku yawned and slumped back on the plushy seat, intent on taking a little power nap before they reached the tower.

Behind his closed eyes he saw the man in red, the girl named Namine who had altered his memories, and played both him and Sora against each other. Sora alone led his mind to the cocoon where his fellow keyblade master sat and waited to be made whole again, and these thoughts took him to where he didn't want to go. A boy with bright yellow eyes and hair black as pitch. Whatever it was inside of him that Shadow had managed to latch onto still ached when he thought about him.

But Shadow was just the darkness within Sora seperated into a new body. So logically Riku should have no problem simply loving Sora instead. They were one in the same.

/If I had my choice, which of them would I want/

"Riku, we're here."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, sorry if these first few chapters are going to be a little slow. I need to get the characters to where they need to be. But don't worry, just like Darkside I'll be skipping forward in time between most of the chapters. And if you see spelling or grammar mistakes, i'm writing this without Word or any form of spellcheck until my beta returns. It shouldn't be long...but feel free to point out a mistake and I shall fix it.

Okay, first off a sketch for Chapter 1 of "Twilight Thorn". Riku eating some sea-salt ice cream on the train with Mickey. Then a quick picture of Axel...I love his face but his hair became huge 80's hair...got out of control...

And now the fun part. I took ever sketch and doodle I could find that wasn't erased or scratched out in my notebooks and textbooks from this semester and combined them in two pages. If you don't get something...don't feel bad. Most won't be able to get every single reference. But enjoy. And remember, these were all done IN classes. Most of which were dark lecture halls. ^_~ Be kind.

Prepare to be spammed. Ever since discovering a free download of Corel Painter IX I have been having too much fun with that damned art program. So...here's a picture of Shadow, Sora and Riku snogging happily, a cute chibi piece of shoujo-ai between Sailor Mars and Venus, a quick oekaki on MS Paint of the Blue Spirit, the family portraits of Dante and Vergil (Sparda and Eva are in the works), and the sketch and colored version of Riku in his Agrabah outfit from Stygian Solace. :::pantpant::: damn that was long...

Yes...that is the entire point of this post. ^_^ The game is beaten, and there will now be a mad rush of fanart and fanfiction. Man...there is just too much yaoi going on in that game. I don't know where to start. So yeah, here's just a fun one-page doujinshi I did featuring Demyx and Axel. I like the pair and am convinced that Demyx is crushing on Axel, who is in turn totally obsessed with Roxas and Sora. Anyway, I am posting the sketch and ink version cause they're slightly different but I like both. And after that is the oekaki I did right after beating the game. A little Axel/Roxas sadness. And yeah, I got teary-eyed on a couple of moments in that bloody game. But I shall say no more, wouldn't want to spoil anything.
The rest of the original set of monochromatic Kingdom Hearts oekakis. Cloud, Leon, Yuffie, Cid, and a redo of Riku. The first Riku was just kinda a test of how the one color scheme on an oekaki would look, he was done way too quickly and in a different style than the rest of the oekakis. I think I'll end up doing Wakka, Tidus, and Selphie as a final cute little set. ^_^ So yeah, here are the others.
Okay, I'm doing a series of oekakis, all with black lineart and everything else in the picture one color. Yay for monochromatic stuff. MS Paint has a nice system for keeping it the same color, with just lighter and darker shades. I think I'll redo the Riku one, still in gray, but I hate the way the coat came out. I'll keep his hair though. ^_~ Sora and Goofy are my favorites so far. I'll do all the secondary characters and then post them on their own entry.

So I finally felt the need to experiment with the art supplies I got for Christmas. So some pretty crappy pictures, but in new mediums. ^_^ First some charcoal sketches. I like charcoal...I think I'll do some pictures of Shadow with it, it'll be good for his skin color.

Link looks contemplative...probably over where he lost his hat... ^_^ Sheik I like, but next time I need to use a reference pic for his hair.

Jim...are we surprised? Inked real quick, which is why his head is weirdly shaped, and I colored it with some new pastels I got. They're pretty fun, I think I need to like sharpen them or something.

Second attempt at inking and oil pasteling. ^_^ Even super villians need cuddle time with their favorite plushie.
Treasure Planet ahoy!!! (oops...back to pirates...)

Okay, so way back in the day I was working at Costco in front of the tv's, and they played stuff on repeat and mute all day long. One time I had to sit through Attack of the Clone's three times in a row. Anyway, one day they played Treasure Planet, which I'd never seen. So up until two days ago, I had technically SEEN the movie three times...but never heard it or knew what was going on. And now I'm slightly obsessed with drawing all the characters, especially Jim. So here are sketches, and a black and white and colored oekaki.

Practicing Jim and Morph along the top (damn you Disney and your bug-eyed male leads!!) Then Amelia, who rocks and is easy to draw. More Jim looking bug eyed, and finally a Jim that looks normal and Flint. Who is just plain cool cause he has three pairs of eyes. ^_~

MS Paint oekaki done with no reference pics.
Castaways Chapter 8

Here it is. The final chapter. I'm still torn on whether or not I'm happy with it...its hard to find an ending for a fic that doesn't go in chronological order. If anyone is trying to follow the timeline through the whole story though, here is how it goes from first to last. (The .5's are the second part of a chapter, after the time shifts forward or back)

1.5
4
6.5
3
2
7
5.5
8
1
2.5
3.5
8.5
5
6
7.5
4.5

Fun times...if anyone wants to read the story in order. ^_~ I have...some things work pretty cool...I haven't caught any continuity errors...though I'm sure there are some..somewhere. On with the story!!

God this planet is hot. I suppose this is a given, considering that most of Mustafar is made of molten rock. But still, with all the shielding they have up in this place you'd think there would be some decent temperature control.

A ship is coming. I can barely see it coming in off the horizon. Its silver plating reflects the light of the lava beneath, a ship from Naboo no doubt about it.

Which means she' here. But that doesn't explain the presence of the Jedi master that I sense stowed away in the storage compartments.

Has he come to beg for his life? Or maybe he has realized that the Jedi were corrupt and arrogant, and needed to be destroyed. Maybe he has come to plead with me that I allow him to join me.

Either that, or he has come to meet his death.

As soon as the ship is safely on the platform my wife comes running out to meet me. She should be more careful, not stress herself in her condition.

"Anakin."

Feeling her in my arms is so relaxing. I almost forget that my traitorous master is on that ship somewhere. The smell of her hair is distracting, such a difference compared to the sulfur that wafts up from the lava below. Before this moment of tranquility can continue she starts rambling on and on at me, about the Jedi being destroyed, and people telling her I killed the younglings.

Stupid woman. If she's just here to harp on me then she should have stayed on Coruscant. What kind of wife would turn her back on her husband like this?

"Put her down Anakin!"

What? Padme is hanging in the air a few inches, clutching her throat as tears run down her face. I'm choking her. Releasing the Force hold she is thrown back but I don't care. How? How could I be choking her? I don't...I don't remember doing it. What's going on?

"You turned her against me. You turned them all against me!"

Now its just us. Wherever Padme went I don't seem to care anymore. Obi-Wan is here, and is looking at me like I'm a little boy again. Stop it. I don't like you looking at me like that.

"Anakin. It's not too late. I know you are an apprentice to Palpatine now but together we can stop him. Stop him before this whole thing gets out of control."

Does he hear himself? I'm Darth Vader now. He's talking about stopping my master. He really thinks he can change my mind, doesn't he?

"My master has told me to exterminate the Jedi. I believe you are one of the only ones we missed," I get a good grip on my lightsaber and flick it on, the blue blade seeming too bright against the sky of this dark planet.

He sighs and retreives his weapon as well. He doesn't even bother proclaiming that he doesn't want this.

"How does this end Anakin? Will you be willing to make the killing blow?"

Old fool thinks he can predict me. Like we had practiced it we clash together in tandem. I suppose we have been practicing for this moment, ever since he took me as his padawan.

Our movements are smooth, no time wasted recovering footing as I chase him across the platform. He won't be pushed off though. I know it. Plus, I want to feel my blade buried in his chest.

I barely manage to block an attack of his at my head. Something distracted me. The thoughts of stabbing him in the chest. Somehow, that wasn't all I wanted from him. What would make me think like that? But I can't worry over things like this while dueling a Jedi Master. His talents are more than even I would have expected, and now I'm losing ground to his careful blows, sneaking in around my more powerful swings.

I notice that he's herding me farther from the buildings. Perhaps my good and honest master is hoping to push me off the bridge if I make a mistake. I'd love to see him use the dark side of the Force to defeat me. It might be worth death to see such a lovely sight.

As we break apart from the heat of our crossed sabers I reach out and grab his neck in my mechanical hand. He tries to bring his blade up to fend me off, but I block it with my own. I push down harder around his throat and lean over him, trying to get our blades closer to his skin. He is bent back painfully towards the ground, and as I bend over him I feel some strange memory flit across the back of my mind.

He must have sensed my moment of indecision and kicks me over him, using the momentum to roll up and continue the battle. There is a different look in his eyes now. Before there was rage, and aggression. But now he just looks like a typical Jedi in battle, sad and bored and greater than thou.

"Fuck you Kenobi. Quit pretending that you aren't enjoying this. I know you are."

He looks surprised this time, and I rush him again, trying to use pure force to get him to move back outside. My concentration is better than his, and there are more things outside which can distract him.

Something seems different as we step out onto the thin bridge that stretches from the main complex to the mining platform. Its definately hotter than earlier. The shields must have been damaged by our attacks. He has been backing up and losing ground, but now he spins around and charges me full speed, nearly knocking me back. But I clamp down on his wrist with my metallic first and he winces. Ha. Stupid Jedi forgets who he is dealing with.

Before we can continue though I feel a surge of heat and look to my right, Obi-Wan senses it too and his eyes follow mine. There is an enormous wave of magma heading straight for the platform. I kick him in the knee, bringing him down just long enough for me to run past. Killing him now would be too easy, but I wouldn't want to risk still standing on the bridge when the lava hits it.

He's on my tail and as I see the safety of the overhang approach I start to turn around. A blast of Force pushes me face first into the warm metal. Then a body is pressed against mine and a hand is wrapped around mine, holding my saber flat against the wall.

"Cheap shot Kenobi. I thought you had more honor in a fight than this."

I struggle, trying to keep my eyes on his blade and freeing mine at the same time. Then his dissapears in a sputter of blue light. What is he thinking? He returns it to his belt and uses his other hand to keep my arm immobile against the wall. I can feel his whole body against mine, and his hands are hot and sweaty on my skin. Whose sweat is it that I feel?

"Do you remember now Anakin? Does this seem at all familiar?"

Yes. NO. He's just trying to trick me. He'll kill me as soon as he gets the chance.

The platform we are on shudders and creaks with its death throes, and Obi-Wan presses even harder against me. What is he thinking? Craning my neck as far to the side as I can, I see that he isn't looking at me anymore, instead watching the pieces of hot rock and splashes of magma that fly in a storm outside our small shelter.

He's blocking me from the lava.

He's still trying to save me.

"It won't work. I will kill you."

When he pulls close to me one last time, I can feel his beard scratch along the back of my neck.

"I don't think you will..."

"...be able to escape this battle station."

The elderly man in front of me is peaceful and serene. Even more so than I remember him to be.

"I know Darth. I didn't come here to defeat you. I came to rescue someone. And help my new padawan."

That word, it seems like a lifetime since I've heard it. Of course, with only a miniscule amount of Jedi left in the universe its not surprising.

"So old man, you took on a new apprentice? What are you teaching him, how to hobble around and look wise?"

Finally, a reaction. He is smirking at me. Now that expression I remember from all the times Anakin took pleasure in drawing it out from his master. Not that I can see the enjoyment in such a thing.

"Are you jealous Anakin? Now that you've been replaced."

Twenty years ago the use of that name would have thrown me. It would have given Obi-Wan that split second of time he would need to defeat me in battle. But its been a long time, and I know who I am. What I am.

"Is that why you took a new apprentice? Convince me to give up my empire to go back to you out of jealousy."

More alarms sound across the Death Star and I see a troop of storm troopers arrive. Before they raise their blasters into position I stop them with the flick of my hand.

"No one interferes. The Jedi is mine. Go take care of the intruders."

"Yes Lord Vader."

They run off towards the hanger, their armor clanking in an amusing harmony. Obi-wan watches them leave, mildly interested. Most likely worried about the small boarding party he brought here with him. He said he was here to rescue someone.

"I'll assume that your new padawan in the one causing all the trouble on this station. Who were you trying to rescue?"

The Kenobi grin makes a triumphant return. But with a brush of the force across his mind I know who it is. Who else would he be here to save other than the princess.

"Its not nice to pry into other people's thoughts, Anakin."

Something about that condescending voice is enough to make me draw my lightsaber. But I give the weak old fool a second to pull his lightly off his belt and ignite it as well.

"I am neither weak nor old nor a fool."

"Now who's invading people's thoughts?"

We are alone in a corridor, and there is mass chaos inside my battle station. But frankly, nothing matters but him. Nothing ever has.

It would have surprised me that we still attack on exactly the same heart beat as we always have, if I wasn't so caught up in seeing my old master fighting. He looks so old as he carefully taps my saber with his. Trying to get me to attack and leave myself open. How could the legendary General Kenobi be reduced to this?

I know for a fact now that I will win this fight. My body may be old, but its the machine that keeps me alive that also fights for me. When I tire of this game I can kill him easily.

"Then why am I still alive?"

"This is getting old."

Before I can continue I hear blaster fire coming from the hangar. The group of stowaways he's protecting have reached their ship. If the storm troopers have allowed them this far they won't be able to stop them from taking off. I can feel that the Force is unusually strong with one of them, no doubt Kenobi's new pupil.

His blue blade taps against mine and I look in his eyes, seeing a spark of amusement there. What he finds so funny about his death is beyond me. He must know that now he is between me and the intruders on my ship. Our game is over.

"If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

"Bargaining for your life? That hardly seems like something a Jedi would do in his last moments."

"No Anakin," He turns his lightsaber off and stands, his chin held high and dropping his defenses completely. Suddenly, I feel it. That Force signature. Its familar somehow. Before I can figure out what it is, something else begins to mask it until it is normal again.

"Who is he?"

Obi-Wan just smiles. Had I been the man I used to be, I might have found it endearing. Or, if the muddled visions I have left from Anakin are true, even attractive.

There is a strange emptiness as my lightsaber cuts through his rotting Jedi robes. Somewhere, a familiar voice cries out.

--------------------------

The end.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:Sniff: its over. for anyone who has been reading this, and made it to the final chapter, please please leave me a review. I want to know what people thought of it, since it was very different from my usual style of writing. I know that this review won't make me update this fic since its already over, but please, these are always the most important reviews to me.

Its been a fun ride. I hope you all enjoyed it too.
